Skip Walter - Managing Director

A software industry veteran, Skip Walter has more than 40 years of technology product development and executive management experience — across Fortune 1000 companies and start-up businesses. Skip was the Founding CEO and Chief Technology Officer of Attenex Corporation, which increases productivity by at least ten times in the legal electronic discovery process for litigation through visual analytics. Prior to Attenex, Skip was the Vice President of Engineering for Aldus (now Adobe) Corporation known for the PageMaker desktop publishing software. He was the father of Digital Equipment Corporation's ALL-IN-1, a $1 billion per year intergrated enterprise office automation and email system. Skip is an advisory council member of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model consortium and is on the Dean's Advisory Council of the School of Informatics at Indiana University. Skip is currently the Managing Director of Factor, Inc., providing strategic planning and product roadmap design for startup technology companies pursuing social networking and visual analytics as well as eDiscovery strategic planning for Global 1000 corporations.


Kevin Esposito - Principal

Kevin was co-founder of the Discovery Response Team at Pfizer Inc and lead Pfizer's corporate records retention efforts, chairing their Corporate Records Steering Committee. As the Director of Electronic Discovery at Pfizer, Kevin was responsible for the day to day operation of the IT side of their discovery process and coordinated all electronic discovery worldwide. The Discovery Response Team handles all of Pfizer's litigation, ranging in size from smaller employment and internal investigations through mass tort claims. Kevin knows first hand the dynamics of internal communications between Information Technology and Legal staff. Kevin developed and managed global technology support organizations for United Parcel Service before becoming an attorney. For the past ten years he has found innovative ways to apply computer technology to business processes within the legal arena. He is a frequent speaker at legal and technology conferences and specializes in bridging the communications gap that exists between business people, technologists and lawyers. He is co-chair for the ACI's Fifth Annual Document Management and Electronic Discovery Conference in New York City this September.


Barney Barnett - Principal

Organizational Development Consultant. Barney Barnett has over thirty years of strategic planning, executive management and re-engineering implementation experience. The major focus of his practice has been in working with top management teams leading, planning and implementing the shift into new and changing markets. He has had his own consulting and training company for eighteen years, working with large corporations in major organizational change efforts and small start-up companies on software development and business strategy. He has split his consulting practice between working with major gas and electric utilities (including Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, Nevada Power Company, Henkels & McCoy, Sacramento Municipal Utility District); telecommunications utilities (Pacific Bell, AT&T Wireless/McCaw Communications, Cellular One) start-up and medium-sized high technology firms (Aldus, Radius, Strategic Mapping, Network Computing, Attenx, SoHo, Communications) and the wine industry. He held line management positions of Vice President of Organizational Development and Human Resources for Resumix (now HotJobs/Yahoo) for five years and as Director of Product Development and Engineering for Primus Corporation (now ATG) for a year. He has served as a general manager of two wineries for seven years and has consulted to many start-up (Glen Ellen Winery, Benziger Family Ranch, Pendleton, Stony Ridge, Hornblend Farms, Bernardus) wineries.
